Aussie Clan page 1

Hiya all, i'm pretty new to Altitude (3 weeks old or so).

By reading previous posts, and looking at how the situation is like for aussie players, I've come to the conclusion that aussie players are having a hard time here. The most pressing issue for the casual gamer is high ping due to being forced to play on US servers. This is the case because Aussie servers are almost always EMPTY!

So,... I'll see how my Aussie Altitude Friend search goes, and if it does go well (as in, i can't find a group of aussie friend lol :p) I'm thinking of making a clan just to get people together. Members will be accepted as long as they are playing from an Australia/NZ location.

The benefit:
1) You get to see your clan-mates when you log on.
2) When there are enough Aus/NZ players, call our guys together, and jump onto a low ping AUS based server.
3) We can finally have some low ping fun.

Doubts:
1) Does a clan hav max player count?
2) I've no idea how much effort this will take or if it will draw any support at all. How many aussie/nz based players are there in altitude? doesn't seem like alot.
3) Veteran players already have their clans,... i doubt they will leave their pro clans for a generic-social-noobieFriendly clan,.... cos clans are normally like a symbol of pride like a badge you wear on your uniform.
4) Only if veteran players join will there be some real challenge and skill growth among the players. So if I can't get serious players to join an aussie server, then its going to be hard to move on from here.

any feedback anyone?

Check the thread LdU. That's a team made out of Australian players.

Ping really isn't that bad unless you've got thin skin and feel hurt every time someone complains about it.

Altitude has client-side hit detection, which makes the game very playable at Australian pings, even on the US servers. Back in my day, we didn't even HAVE Australian servers, so whether they're empty or not you guys are a lot luckier than we were!

Even though it is playable, you must admit the game is very different when played in 50 ping vs 200 ping.

G'day mate.

-MH- is over now and I chose not to revive it - check out my =LdU= thread for the time being - I'm just getting a social clan going for Aussies now that will hopefully become a lot more competive.

peace
