I'd love to see rain and some feature that allows you to adds clouds or fog to a map by just selecting it in a menu.
Thunder and lightning would also really improve on the aviation theme and add more variation to maps!
Perhaps black clouds that deal EMP damage if you fly through them..

It would also be cool to have wind effects, not constant wind (although that might be an idea as well) but random gusts of wind that appear randomly on the map and blows away planes, rockets and bullets.
Not too extreme, but strong enough to blow rockets and bullets off course and cause trouble for the ones who are hit.
Along with a 'fheeeew' sound effect and animation..

Tornados might also be cool, that appears on the map and go back and forth and when a plane comes to close it's sucked in and slugged away in an arc at a highspeed. Which will mean you'll probably hit something and take damage, making them quite dangerous and fun.

I thinks that's would be a good addition to the game overall, but has to be controlled. For example, you don't want random effects on Competitive matches (League or not), as random effects take away much of the skill factor.

I don't think it fits any of the team game modes, but would be pretty funny on FFA and Race (If they chose to add it).

Use the search function to look for an idea that you have that may have already been brought up instead of creating new threads and cluttering up the suggestions forum, which is used by lam/karl to get ideas on how to improve the game.
