This are my personal gripes about everything in altitude and is entirely my opinion. There are also no positives in this rant, so don't read if you want cheering up. Please feel free to criticise me for anything I say and correct me where I'm wrong.
Loopy
1. Why does emp go through walls? Hax much?
2. Why can't I slow down my plane after getting emped? A lot of my deaths from loopies are due to me not being able to turn sharply enough because I can't slow down. Thats fun. Really.
Bomber
1. Why is the area of effect so large? Whether this is a slight lag issue or not I'm not entirely sure but its annoying when you see the grenades actually miss you but still decide to do damage. How about making direct hits to double damage and misses to less damage?
2. If their initial volley of the huge area of effect grenades doesn't instakill you then they still have their rear cannons to destroy you.

Seriously whats up with having a huge damaging charged up main weapon then the ability to instantly spam loads of small shots.

I agree with Remote Mine (obv.) and also with walls. I realize that it's a powerup and therefore is designed to give an advantage, but THAT MUCH of an advantage? Keep the stop, remove the EMP effect, OR, for an interesting gameplay changer, make two different kinds of walls, one that stops you cold but has no EMP effect, and one that doesn't stop you at all, but gives you full EMP effect.
I have also noticed that Bomber nades have a big area effect and I can only conclude that it's due largely to latency.
As for Loopy EMP preventing throttle movements, that's what EMP is designed to do. It slows down every function of your aircraft, including throttle.
Just my thoughts. All in all, it's a good rant actually :p

Yeah what I never figured out was how what appears to be electricity is supposed to stop an aircraft right in its tracks.

Don't touch to my walls.
Now walls is a true powerup, usable in various situations. Good players can use walls in the middle of nowhere to gain tactical advantage. If you remove anything from the walls, it will be kind of "meh" and the whole game will lose an interesting part of its gameplay.

Hey, I can't survive a fight with competents no matter what they use. Incompetents, on the other hand, can't kill me even with a shield. Seems pretty fair.

The bomb isn't a nuke. If it was, dropping it would kill everyone playing as well as both bases. The bomb is just a really big bomb.

What really bothers me vs bomber is the fact that the most damage comes from the direct hit and not from AoE.
The good point of this is, that it doesn't deal much dmg to a group of enemies, but that bad part is, that they can just spam you in melee and take near to zero damage of there own explosion.
The granate/bomb itself should do no damage, since its detonating instantly.
The damage should come completly from the explosion, with a decrease in damage, the further you get away from the center of the explosion.

Perceived bomber AoE is just from lag. It's not really that huge.
Friendly fire damage from your own grenades doesn't cripple you, but you do notice the extra vulnerability.

Whale: please don't change it at all. Whale is the most balanced plane in that I have never been killed by a whale and felt I didn't deserve it. Mines and rockets give you plenty of warning and time to get out of the way. Good players die to whales only when they push their luck, e.g. tailgating too close. Remote is balanced, it simply means that approaching a whale from the back, like approaching a biplane from the front, equals instant death. Good players learn not to play into the enemy plane's strenght.
Miranda: I feel the opposite about this plane. F+Up can instakill you and if your ping or his ping are high enough there is no way to see it coming. I recognize however that FUp is the weapon for Tricksters, and if it is nerfed (can't warp for 0.5 seconds after firing a fully charged shot) the Trickster needs something to compensate, for example lowering the energy or upping the damage of the shot.
Loopy: As many people have said, the tracking needs to change so that the missiles track ONLY if you have a lock at the moment of firing. This would make dogfighting more realistic and fun, and less frustrating for the target. As a loopy player I heartily endorse this. The missile damage could be buffed a tiny bit to compensate. As for EMP, it is an electromagnetic effect, so naturally it goes through walls and obstacles. The radius of effect is pretty reasonable given how slow the shot itself moves, it's one of the slowest shots in the game and you have to lead with it considerably to have a chance against a competent dogfighter.
Biplane: No changes needed really, except replace Dogfighter with something fun.
Bomber: Bombers are fun to play and play against... the problem comes when there are GROUPS of bombers, nuff said. However I guess there is no way to change this so leave it.
Powerups: Shields are not so great rly, a good player can kill you "inside the shield" when you're passing. Shield deaths normally happen because your noob teammates are firing into the shield, as if, if they shoot hard enough the shield will evaporate or something? Nubs.
Walls are also not so great, where they REALLY are powerful is when you're chasing a biplane and he deploys one of these. That #%^$@er tyr always makes sure to carry a wall.
Their second-most powerful use is probably by loopies that strafe you and try to deploy the wall so you get stuck inside it. That's always good for a laugh tho :)

The problem with whales, and the same goes for the miranda bouncy shot is the rediculous amount of lucky shots which onehit you.
The whale can shot over the whole map, and a good whale player knows the rocketspeed. Getting shot from someone in his base (for example in tbd_cave) while you are in the middle of the map is stupid.
What would be nice as a change?
Give the rocket a maximum range.
It bit less then the granades of the bomber.
Same thing goes to the bouncy shot, which can easily kill anyone by bouncing of walls, hitting someone 2 or 3 times.
The amount of damage of the warp also seems a bit high.

An experienced pilot can evade death at the hands of a Biplane's nose. Remote, on the other hand, has two weapons which not only have a large area effect, but also have instant damage and a pretty big knockback effect. Even a mediocre Remote explodet is capable of destroying any other aircraft at will, simply by spinning around double tapping F and D. More experienced Remotes are just crazy. They can spin around and slam you with 5 or 6 mines and/or rockets before you've even finished your first attack run.

+1 to luke, i play every plane, all of them quite well and one of them very well, i dont feel any of them to have an advantage over another. All depends on the pilot you face as to the outcome. I regularly kill explodets and remote explodets with the other planes until i get bored and put my hippo suit back on to pwn ^^

I'd say half the EMP time on walls but otherwise, leave it as is.
The wall makes a nice sniper-post for the Miranda to use in open areas filled with spam.

My only gripe about shields is that they seem almost worthless if your ping gets above 200. I'll be pointing straight at someone w/ shield on and they'll still shoot me down (from far away) because the shield hasn't 'activated' on their end yet.
It would make them a little easier to wield if the graphic was somehow synced with what the lag was. If that's possible...

He's saying you are to blame, the pinger, not the shield user, which is correct. I've seen lasers ripping through people with shields on.

So it is just a lie, that you never died to a whale.

I played complete Random yesterday and I killed you more then one time as an explodet.
Yeah some of these where random, i shot rockets into the nowhere kills, but i killed you.
So it is just a lie, that you never died to a whale.

Everyone has a gripe against a particular plane. The fact that the hatred against a particular plane never lasts more then a week or two says something. Also, loopy isn't OP. Easy, (when not played at the highest level of play) yes; OP, no.

ok, soo many things.
1. the point of loopy emp is to stop the enemy form running away. the fact thet they cant turn as well allows you to outmanuver them, or to keep them form turning and shooting at you.
2. the shield powerup is NOT a garunteed kill. i cant count the number of times i thought i was safe behind a shield, and a biplane, randa, whale, or bomber just went right n top of me, and i was killed instantly. u call that overpowered?
3. the bombs? they are supposed to be, like, nuclear bombs, so of course the blast radius is large. The advantages of having a bomb is that its powerful, and can kill a lot of people. the disadvantages more then compensate for the advantages, as they are the fact that you are slowed, and that your position is given to the enemy.

Awesome...Biplanes are just as easy to kill as a whale as a Loopy.
How about learning to play Bomber? Bombers rape whales...but I'm not on here making dozens of threads about it. Get better, learn to mitigate their advantage. The average skill level of the people in this game is sickening.

Shield deaths normally happen because your noob teammates are firing into the shield, as if, if they shoot hard enough the shield will evaporate or something?
But friendly shots pass through walls, so why not shields? I didn't know shields reflected friendly shots... In fact... They don't reflect my shots when I am firing with a shield, why reflect a teammates?
