RIP has just participated in our first APL, and plans to be in both the Final Frontier League and APL4!

We are a clan with members from all across the world, and we promote a friendly relationship with all other teams in the Altitude Proleague.

Scrims and practices will be posted on the calender.

Like I stated above, I'll look into what clan Rules is currently in. As for Yandrak, I've seen him play some of the tougher guys, and he was doing pretty good, so I don't understand your complaint.

EDIT: I'm not sure about recruiting, since I'm not the captain. But I've played you before Corvus, and I'd be glad to have you in. :D

OFG has left our team for ##. With the loss of our captain, I would like to put up an idea:

I'll do the organization (plan scrims, set practices, etc.) but I would like it if someone who's better than me. (aka almost anybody on this team) would take over the leadership role in-game.

I have a couple of people in mind, but I would like it if someone would step up for this role.

Preseason schedule for this Sunday is out!

IB v RIP at 2 pm EST
RIP v DX at 3 pm EST

Each match is ball, best of three in server Proleague 1.

I'll talk to Dragon about the password on that server and get back to everyone.

furthermore, heredotus, plz leave the recruiting to ofg hammer and me.
yandrak, corvus, and dragonstorm, since you have not undergone a tryout, i would to try you out. No worries, if you don't pass, you will still be in RIP, just won't be given playing priorty.

Flying brick is a member of IB, and has been for some time. But we need to have players that can show up for games, which Corvus and Yandrak have. I will leave further recruiting to you, Hammer, and OFG.

Not saying you haven't shown up for games, because you usually make it to games. Just giving my support to Corvus and Yandrak, who have been playing every scrim I've been in.

I'm pretty sure the Sammichs will show, they have to play ACE right after us.

Guys, I know we had scheduling issues, but for only four members of our clan to show up, this is becoming problematic. :mad: I'll post the schedules on Monday if Evil has them up. Please tell me if you can make it!

That's six out of eleven active players. I know some members couldn't make it to the last few weeks, but if only 50% of us show up to matches, that's a problem.

EDIT: I'm giving APL co-captainship to malkin, who's a much better recruiter and player than me. Malkin and I are also updating the roster for any active members who join. All the players mentioned here, along with Pandemic and HAMMER81, will stay on the active list. I'm not kicking anyone out of the clan, just changing who will play for us in APL.

Well, we ended up 0-3 this week, playing against some powerhouse teams:

RIP v {ball}: The first match for Whaleshavefeelings2, and, even though he claimed he didn't do well, the presence of two explodets was a welcome sight. We didn't get many bombs in, do to ball's strong defense. Thanks to malkin for showing up even though he said he might not be able to.

RIP v flb: After some waiting, we finally started this match. Possibly our best match of the year, as both games passed the 10 minute mark. We kept pressure on flb, but eventually couldn't stop them. My thanks to Wolf'j'max for his assistance in the scrims for fun.

RIP v IL: Only three members showed, so a forfeit was declared.

I have decided that we need to meet more frequently, as our matches against flb showed, we can play well, but our teamwork is lacking. If everyone can meet on a weekday, tell me what day and what time.

Also, welcome another explodet to our team, Deyv!

We can registrate til 24. April, the format will be 5v5, so we need at least 5 Players who are interested. We also have to choose if we want to play 1DM or TDM.

Ok everyone I'm going to sign RIP in for the TDM/1DM tournament, but I'll clearly say that we will drop out if the captains disagree or we can't get enough players. Sorry for taking the decision on my own, but York has to get two more clans by tomorrow and I think it would be good for RIP to play this!

There are some players looking for a team to play the tourney in, and since most of the time we struggle to get enough members on, I though it would be good to take these players inside the team only for the tournament.
Tmic225 from aVo wants to play with us so far. Again, if you disagree with anything here, just tell me and I'll have RIP to drop out of the tourney.

So, as soon as I post this, I'm going to get us in the tourney, if you disagree please tell me ASAP.

TO PLAYERS WHO WANT TO JOIN FOR THE TOURNEY:

-You can join RIP only for the tournament. Do not expect RIP to count you as a member after the tourney.

-You have to show up at the matches otherwise we will not consider you as a member of RIP TDM anymore. To see the schedule check York's thread out.

-You will have to pass a short tryout to make sure you are good enough to play for RIP.

-If any member of RIP doesn't want you in the clan, then you can't be in.

-Post a request here if you would like to join and add me as a friend in-game.

-Don't use the "RIP" tag but the TDM//RIPS (teamdeathmatch/RIPSpecial)

-RIP members will Always have the priority over RIPS players

Well I had a looong converastion with Deyv on Skype and I must say it works perfectly, just set your sound effects and music to half, and then boost the sound till you can hear the others normally. So far I have Deyv, malkin and hammer in my contacts, but I'll add you all before tonight's matches.
This will clearly be a great feature for our clan!! And yes malkin, there is a possibility to create chat rooms and we'll set one up tonight. We'll just have not to all speak at the same time. :p

Today's matchups:

ACE v RIP:

This match had an interesting lead up inside the forums. Playing the former champions was a good way to see what we need to work on. Our defense played well, and we managed to make long games out of it. Might I add that our attendance was quite good this time around? Very well done.

RIP v FN:

Rescheduled, date to be announced.

Used Skype with Deyv, Demuyt, and (I believe) malkin. Nice to hear all your wonderful voices! :p

EDIT: Next week I'll be in Branson, Missouri. Therefore, I won't be able to play. :(

The IHx clan wanted to have a 2 vs 2 scrim against RIP: me and Deyv played it. We played TBD_Mayhem both as explos in the beginning, then I switched to loopy for easier bomb-running. I must say it was a close game with some very good moves and shots; We eventually destroyed their base. Both teams played very well! Well done RIP!:)

Yes. Reverse HC Biplane with flexible wings. In my opinion quite a hard combination to master, something that i am still far away from doing.
A very good combo to bomb with and to save base from enemy bombs.

After the patch that buffed biplanes this combination now offers some new moves that are fearless before danger.

When it comes to general practice times i prefer to play late evenings (from 23.00 on central European time which means from 17.00 EST) on weekdays.

As it looks right now, we wont be able to have a training during the week. since this is the last week of apl (i believe), something between 1:00 and 4:00 pm est would be a good training time

We lost 2 first games tonight, went 0-2 both games. BB gave us a break and let us wait for a fourth player.
For 4 pm game L* showed but i was the only one from RIP present. Guess that means a forfeit loss.

Just wanted to pop in and congratulate you guys for completing your first APL season. Even if the results of the matches may not have gone the way you had hoped, the fact that you were able to reliably show up for most of your games in my mind makes you better than most clans out there. If nothing else, this season has hopefully given you the chance to refine your teamwork and has heightened your potential for the future. Keep playing, and we hope to see you guys back next time! :)

General Rules:
The lower ranked seed will pick the first map and the higher ranked seed will pick the second.

Substitutions can only occur in between games.

There is no 3v5 forfeit loss rule! Every team will play with however many members they can get, with a max of 5. The other team may wish to play with the same amount of players but it is not required.

Hi. Is it not 4 hours between GMT and EST? If so what time is practice today? Is it 6pm or 8pm GMT? Either way i will try to be on but i don´t think i´ll be able to make it.

I might be able to play this sunday but cannot make any promises.

edit. The FFL is partly colliding with the finals of the World cup.
The organizers must be from some old British colony or possible the US to make such a mistake. I will watch the finals and if we are still in the tournament at that point i will miss these games.

Since our first game collides with the finals of the world cup (our game starts at 2pm ET and the finals starts at 2.30pm ET) i will only be able to play the first 20 minutes of our game.
I believe that it was a poor decision by the organizers to put the FFL at the same time as the finals

Game 1: We started out a little slow early on in Heights, allowing a couple bomb runs. We played 4v4, eventually losing the match with a double bomb run by Carbon and Divra.
