By giving something like 75% off for one day it'd be in the special list and more people would see it.
Also those who are not convinced to buy might more likely buy it (like me :o)

That doesn't mean they can't do it again.
According to Gabe Newell (co-founder of Valve), their L4D sales would go up over 3000% when they cut the price in half. Trying it here would be a good idea, once every other month or something.
With that said, *NOW* is a terrible time to do it. Damn near every game in the Steam store is on sale. Wait until the end of January and strike :P

It's selling for $7.50. I bought it for $20 not too long ago, and I considered it a steal. Now, I'm not that familiar with Steam, but a game this good for under $10 seems amazing to me. I wouldn't discount it. People will pay as soon as they play it, now that unlimited demos are no longer an option.
