The epitome of greatness in dotball and the most dominant force in airpuns, clan r87 is the bee's knees. Established on Christmas day much to the dismay of the really crappy airpuns players out there, clan r87 (short for r87) is here to rape and pillage your villages, steal your candy, and score goals n' stuff. Yeah.

The foundation of r87 is based upon two lolPatriots fans (a lolazn and a r87), another lolazn, and the token black guy.

We're so good we could beat your ass 6-0 whilst having sexual intercourse with both your sister and your pet cat. And that's with just one hand.

altitude proleague season 3, its a fun league, for clans... you'll get alot better if u participate, and it brings you competition. You play teams on ur caliber (with the same record), so yea hopefully you will sign up =D

I don't think you'll see eye to eye with me, nor will sunshineduck (I talked to him about it last night), but it's because the word has such weight in our society. I fully understand parody, and I get that it's a South Park reference. The problem is when that word is used in an online game/forum casually. You (not you personally, "you" in general) have no idea if there are people offended by the use of that word and just not comfortable enough to raise the issue. I'm white, so I guess it's easier for me to step up and say, "That's not right." But the player behind that name doesn't get it, as I'm afraid most of the players in-game do not.

sunshineduck's point is that if the word is allowed as a name in the game, then it's fine with him. I think that's a somewhat valid point, and I am slowly realizing that Karl and Lamster could give a f*ck about offensive language in-game. I know, I know, it would be impossible for them to watch every server all the time, etc. But they never even responded to an email I sent to the company, nor to a post I made on the welcome thread a couple months back. The two things they've done -- that I am aware of -- are to add word filters, and to increment the kick time out. I appreciate both of those, but I can't understand why other players don't step up and say, "Yeah, you're right, that word shouldn't be used so casually."

I have no idea what the racial breakdown of Altitude is, but I'd guess it's probably less diverse than society as a whole. When white people get together and dominate social groups (online or in real life), it's easy to slip in a few "n*gger"s and think it's no big deal because no one is complaining.

Then, when Follow or I speak up, we look totally out of connection with reality because so many of you (and yes, this time I'm including you, since you asked the question) can't be bothered by it.

And I know, "it's just a game." But clearly, people are affected by what happens in online games. It's not cut and dry that you can hear something offensive and just brush it off. Some people can, some people can't. I'm trying to be a voice for the people who can't. And believe me, I'm not some PC Police, although I'm sure I'm getting that reputation. I let a lot of stuff slide, and most of it doesn't bother me that much. But "n*gger" and "f*ggot" are two of the most offensive and violent (think hangings, truck draggings) words in our society. I just wish they could be left out of the game.

It's not quite as simple as that. Turning a blind eye is an option, yes. I know many people are going to disagree with me, but I believe that standing up to racism/homophobia is actually something we should do, rather than just ignoring it.

ok tgleaf u are very correct i know an 8 year old who plays altitude and i heard one guy was 10. The 8 year old is learning so much **** he should not know at the age of 8 so u guys need to stop saying all this **** please
