Automatic map vote. page 1

Add an automatic map vote after every match.
A list of all the maps is shown and players vote for the one they want to play next. Server admins should be able to turn this feature ON/OFF.

I'm suggesting this because usually people dont want to play the same map twice, and then time is wasted while people call votes for the map the majority wants to play.

Great Idea!!!

For once I agree, this would save the time and voting process during the next game.

Although this is a different topic altogether, I'm posting in this thread because there's an obvious example here (see if you can find it): I don't know if vbulletin has this capability, but perhaps we can implement a like/dislike feature to posts, similar to facebook? This way, people can still voice their opinion on a subject even if they have nothing new to contribute, so that it isn't perceived as +1 spam.

Edit: btw I "like" the idea of automatic votemap.

I like the whole "my idea is too dumb to have it's own thread, so I'm going to post it here" approach.

Yeah I like this idea. Maybe a poll would have the same effect as like/dislike? Or maybe for suggestion threads there could be some kind of informal rating system.

Sorry to be clear I like both Vania and Ryebone's ideas. (is that correct grammar? hmmm..)

vBulletin does have the capability to implement a reputation system, where users are given reputation points for good posts. There is also a feature I believe to rate individual posts, but I think the forum remains a friendlier place if we try not to outwardly tell the person "hey, your idea's terrible" but instead just give logical reasons why it wouldn't work.

If you have a good argument for adding a reputation or other system to the forums, feel free to make a new thread in the Suggestions subforum so that the devs will see it!

Edit: You can find more details on the average Reputation System here if you are so inclined:
