Black screen upon startup page 1

Hi support crew!

I'm having a bit of trouble with my copy of Altitude on my Acer Aspire one. I have the steam version of the game, but have also tried downloading the installer from the main site, and launching it via the browser.

The same thing happens each time I try to play: The game starts, I can hear the music, but the screen remains black. If I run it via steam, I get the steam overlay working, but that's it.

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue, I've looked everywhere for a solution, and I don't know what to do anymore. Any tips are appriciated!

I get the same thing when trying to run Altitude on my netbook. In my case it's because the cheap netbook graphics card doesn't have drivers that support openGL, which is needed to run the game. Hopefully in your case it's just because you don't have the latest driver for your graphics card. To remedy this download and install the newest drivers for your graphics card.

Oh crap! Yeah, turns out I have the exact same issue as you do, my drivers do not support opengl. Such a shame! Are there any plans of making altitude work with direct 3d or maybe even software rendering?
