Challenges? page 1

I've seen some new challenges become unlocked during play that I can't see in the Hangar. A couple of examples I can remember are "Basic Training 3" and "Loopy 2". What do these refer to exactly?

those woud be plane unlockables, perk unlockables, and training unlockables. they dont show up in the hanger, because they are not plane challenges, like 4x multikill.

As I recall, each 'tier' of challenges is unlocked at a certain level. For example, you might unlock the 'loopy multikill x2' challenge with the Loopy 1 challenge pack, and the 'loopy multikill x3' challenge with the Loopy 2 challenge pack. The idea is you unlock progressively more difficult challenges as you approach level 60.

I could be completely wrong and these could be residual messages from something that has yet to be implemented, but I am fairly certain the above is correct.

I think you're right but also i believe as you leveled up, you unlocked more plan set ups, like you started with just 5 for preset planes or whatever but as you level up you get the other 5, I might be wrong though, it's been a while :p

This makes sense. The only one that really confused me was "Basic Training 2" as it unlocked a long time after I had finished all the training missions available and I didn't see any new ones anywhere.

I'm still seeing this sort of thing. Today I got "New Challenge Unlocked: TODO". What on earth is this?

It means the developer still has to make the challenge for that one :D

I'm wondering the same thing, "basic training 2" and "basic training 3" are unlocked but i dont know what they are. it is a year after chippy's post and we still cant see these challenges?

could they be hidden challenges which give you the XP but don't show up in hangar?

The "Basic Training" challenges you unlock are sets of plane-specific challenges. So you could unlock the Basic Training 2 challenges, but they won't actually show up until you beat the first ones (50 kills with x plane, etc).

Don't know if the TODO challenges still exist since it's been a while since I leveled up.
